You can also request a celebration of your life rather than a funeral or memorial. Recently a friend passed suddenly. She had a couple of days of knowing she was going to dye before she did. She let her adult children know what she wanted. There was a memorial at her church where we mostly wore black or black and purple her favorite color. At her memorial it was tie dye and purple her preferred patterns. Let it be known what you want.

What’s more interesting, I think, is asking why Melania Trump, a first lady, wife of a multi-billionaire, a former runway model who regularly wears Gucci and Versace, would wear a jacket from Zara? Zara is a fast fashion brand for middle class Americans, those who probably don’t make 6 figure annual incomes. It’s slightly better than H&M and Old Navy, but not as good as J Crew or CK. Zara is basically a poor-man’s newest fashion. The design principle for Zara is to look at the current season’s high fashion, and make something similar at a much cheaper price and much poorer quality. In other words, Zara looks at what Versace did at New York Fashion week, makes something similar, and pushes it as fast as possible to the consumer.
